Fat Beet Farm Part 2: Cooking Up Comfort Foods In The Kitchen

WESTCHASE, FL — Fat Beet Farm Kitchen and Bakery has re-opened following a summer break.

Located between Westchase and Oldsmar at 13830 W. Hillsborough Ave., just before Hillsborough Avenue turns into Tampa Road at Race Track Road, Fat Beet Farm Kitchen and Bakery offers is now inviting Tampa Bay residents to try the ultimate farm-to-table experience.

The talented culinary team has created a delicious selection of artisan breads, pies, cookies, sweets as well as a variety of elevated farm-to-family comfort food.

The state-of-the art-kitchen is turning out great meals to enjoy on-site, in the comfort of your home with curbside pick-up as well as catering services.

Breakfast showcases a selection of quiches and scratch-made biscuits, which are the star of the breakfast sandwiches.

Mini mushrooms, thyme, caramelized onion, gruyere and garlic quiche. Also available in family size.

The menu changes often to take advantage of the freshest ingredients. The hot and cold sandwiches are available for dine in and are superb.

Turkey Broccolini Pesto Sandwich on a fresh-baked baguette with turkey, garlic confit, broccolini, sunshoot pesto and white American cheese.

We ordered many of the sides and got great feedback from the whole family. It is hard to pick a favorite.

Keto Broccoli Salad with broccoli, bacon, cheddar cheese and red onion.
Roasted Heirloom Carrots made with roasted carrots, tahini, turmeric, lemon and ginger (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan).
Gruyere Mac & Cheese with white cheddar, gruyere, parm, nutmeg, buttery bread crumbs (vegetarian).
Cauliflower Steak with sun-dried tomato, basil and pistachio crust (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan).
Teriyaki Ribs made with organic-pastured pork ribs, teriyaki glaze, sesame (gluten-free, dairy-free). The delicious fall-off-the-bone ribs are also available barbecue style.
Sesame Chicken made with free-range chicken, sesame glaze and scallions (gluten-free, dairy-free).
Specialty fork pizzas are impressive and feature rotating toppings when available.
Specialty items are available for purchase including garlic confit and everything butter.

A variety of dressings impresses including sesame ginger, citrus vinaigrette and our favorite. Buttermilk Ranch Dressing.
A selection of craft beer is available for take-away.

Tampa Bay Food Tours was off for the summer, but will begin hosting tours again starting in September. Tampa Bay Food Tours gives groups of six to 12 people an opportunity to explore the food, wine and craft beer of some of Tampa, Dunedin and St. Petersburg’s best eateries and breweries.
