    Impossible Foods opens vegan fast food restaurants in metro Phoenix

    Impossible Foods, the company known for its soy-based meat alternatives including the popular Impossible Burger, has opened four delivery-only restaurants in Arizona. The Impossible Shop operates out of Dog Haus restaurant locations in Phoenix, Gilbert, Tempe and Yuma. Plant-based meat companies including Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat have seen a rise in popularity in recent years as they expanded to more grocery stores and began collaborations with national chains from Taco Bell to White Castle, which offer vegetarian menu items made using Impossible or Beyond faux meats.     A fast food chain is bringing corporate employees to work in its restaurants

    The privately-held Baton Rouge, La.-based company has a total of 750 corporate employees, 500 in its Dallas office. Of those, 250 will be going in the field as front-line employees. Another 250 who work as marketers and trainers will shift to restaurant and recruiting jobs. The employees will be housed in hotels for one to two weeks at company expense. Other corporate employees will be working to recruit more workers or will work in one of the company’s more than 500 drive-throughs. “It’s all hands on deck,” co-CEO and COO AJ Kumaran said.
