    Vegan Sloppy Joes Recipe

Chef notes I love this recipe because it’s so flavorful and hearty. This is a home run for people who are worried about walking away from the table unsatisfied. Swap option: Swap in chickpeas or kidney beans if you prefer over cannellini. Preparation 1. In a food processor, finely chop the garlic. Add the onion and bell pepper chunks and pulse several times until evenly (but

Raising animals requires more water and land and generates more greenhouse gases than growing protein-rich plants does. “This is a win-win for individuals and our environment,” Dr. Lichtenstein said. However, she cautioned, if a plant-based diet is overloaded with refined carbohydrates and sugars, it will raise the risk of Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. And she discouraged relying on popular plant-based meat alternatives that are ultra-processed and often high in sodium, unhealthy fats and calories, and that “may

The social media chefs demystifying the kitchen for a new generation

If you’ve ever felt an urgent need to make confit potatoes or fold a tortilla wrap in a clockwise direction, then you have been influenced. It can creep in from anywhere, an overheard conversation on the bus about three-ingredient brownies (I was responsible for this one), or a quick chat at the start of a Zoom call about that feta pasta for dinner. Who amongst us hasn’t been twenty minutes late to work because we took a chance on a Starbucks drive-thru that deep down we knew we didn’t have time for? These days, it feels like there are even more drivers on the road than in pre-pandemic times. Couple that with many fast food chains’ inability to attract workers, and we’re experiencing the slowest drive-thru times we’ve had
