Though apple is a classic fall flavor, this year it seems that brands have really embraced the fall fruit as a star ingredient. For instance, Starbucks is rivaling its own Pumpkin Spice Latte with a new Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato that combines oat milk with apple cinnamon filling and brown sugar. Another example of brands embracing apples is Wendy’s Caramel Apple Frosty, which leans into the delicious taste of caramel-dipped apples.
However, apple isn’t the only flavor getting the spotlight this fall. The October 2022 food trends also show that maple continues to be a fan favorite. Some tasty examples include Trader Joe’s new Salted Maple Ice Cream, Crumbl’s French Toast Cookies, and Tim Hortons’ Soft Maple Candies.
